Content Operations Specialist

In this role your main responsibility is helping our globally distributed content team to publish, manage and distribute our content in an efficient way, taking care of everything we need from an operations and process perspective. You will be responsible for publishing and scheduling all of our content to go live and make sure we have a clear and efficient process to do it. You are based at our R&D headquarters and you are constantly working with our product managers and engineers to make sure you have full visibility into our systems and how to operate them. 

You will work closely with our marketing and product teams to ensure you can easily rely on them to publish and announce new content. We are looking for a person who is able to learn and move fast in a very global environment; the ideal candidate has previous experience working across different time zones, has perfect spoken and written English, and is looking for a challenging operations role where he/she can show a strong ability to plan, execute and communicate. Candidates with a background in content and IT operations, and a passion for cloud and software technologies, are our preference. You will find yourself working with engineers, subject matter experts and marketing experts to coordinate our content publication and management.  

You will report to our Head of Content. This role leads to a career path on our European management team.

This position is based in our Tech HQ in Mendrisio (CH), about 50 min from Milan and 20 min from Como. 

What you will do as a Content Operations Specialist at Cloud Academy:

  • Follow and manage the content publication calendar and design a strategy to make sure that it’s visible to everyone inside the company
  • Work with content authors and content producers to help them publish and organize content in our platform
  • Design, implement and execute a set of processes to ensure consistency and quality across our content publication strategy
  • Manage our Content Library and be responsible for requests from Content or Marketing executives
  • Work with our Product and Engineering teams, on a daily basis, to learn new features and troubleshoot blocking issues for content publication
  • Constantly improve our processes to make sure they are efficient and easy to execute for you and for our teams
  • Document issues and features as needed for the Product and Content teams


  • 2-5 years of experience working in an international environment and with distributed teams
  • 1-2 years of experience working with digital content and digital properties in a marketing or operations function
  • Strong operations skills are a must
  • Experience working and communicating with engineers and technical owners
  • Strong project management skills and ability to design, build and execute highly efficient processes across distributed teams
  • Bias for action - we are looking for someone who is responsible and wants to own a critical function in our team
  • Strong attention to detail - this role requires a strong and natural attention to details to succeed
  • Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and DevOps is a strong plus and preference
  • Having a technical background is a strong plus
  • Perfect spoken and written English is a must for this position
