[PLEASE NOTE] This position is based in our Swiss HQ in Mendrisio, Switzerland, which is 7 km over the border from Italy and easily commutable from Milan, Como, Varese or Lugano. We are also happy to assist with your relocation to this beautiful part of Europe and we have a hybrid remote working policy.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, development of internal control policies and procedures and managing, developing and growing an amazing team. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.
Responsibilities
Direct all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Management Accounts, Treasury and Revenue Recognition
Manage, mentor, coach and develop an experienced team of 2 finance specialists and 1 finance coordinator, with a strong focus on servant leadership and growth and development
Support the business unit with timely and accurate management reporting and variance analysis
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Collaborate with the Group accounting function on projects
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in the United States and Switzerland
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Coordinate and manage the audit process
Additional controller duties as necessary
Job requirements
Proven successful working experience as a Financial Controller
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
3+ years of proven and successful management experience, with a strong focus on leading by example, mentoring and professional growth and development
Big Four Accounting firm graduate programme
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Reporting experience with IFRS
Fluent spoken and written English is a must for this position
Familiarity with tax laws and regulations in both Switzerland and the United States is a plus
